As many, if not all, of you know by now we are contemplating on moving to England, specifically just outside of London. This transition has been in the works for a long time and now we are in the final stages. The company that wants to hire Nate flew us out for a pre-decision trip over the weekend. I must say England is a nice country...nice people, pretty country side, easy to get around (if you aren't the one having to drive on the wrong side of the road), large variety of gummy candies and chocolates among other things. However visiting a country as a tourist is much different then visiting a country as a future resident. There is so much to think about, schools, social networking, getting used to crossing the street and looking the right way for on coming traffic!, medical and most importantly dental care for the girls (I understand now why the British have such bad teeth...no dental care for children, crazy). On our trip we had to ask ourselves "do we really want to live here??" and honestly after three days we were pretty much stumped. Yes it will be an adventure. Yes we will be able to see Europe. Yes our kids are the perfect age to pick up and go. Yes it will be good for Nate's career. So what's the hold up?? The main hold up for me is the big question of...will we be happy living so far from everything and everyone that has made our life so wonderful up until now?? So it is still to go or not to go....as promised we'll keep you posted.

It is a tough decision. Good luck with making it. It would be a fun adventure for sure!
What a TOUGH, EXCITING, SCARY, THRILLING decision :) Best of luck in making it!
ahhh! i wish i had some advice for you. i don't. but i promise you i will come visit either way.
wow, WOW! huge decision. lance and i have always tried to figure out a way we could live abroad somehow . . . so maybe we will think a little harder and little sooner and if you go, we could be neighbors!
Oh my goodness Rachelle. I had no idea you were thinking about moving. What a hard decision to make, but a very exciting one I am sure. Is it just temporary (like a few years) or is it more permanent? I will definetely be checking back to see. Keep us posted.
Your pictures are cool. It makes me want to visit Europe. It certainly is a hard choice. For our last move, we put in Germany as our 2nd choice, but we are really glad now that we didn't go. Our 13-year old had a hard enough adjustment here. However...England wouldn't be a new language and your kids are young enough to move around still. Besides...you'd have Becky there in Europe too(not that close but closer than now):) Good luck with your decision...there's so much to consider, but I bet you'll be happy either way.
Oh wow, I had no idea your family was thinking of moving there! What an adventure. Moving to AZ was enough culture shock for me. I can't imagine moving to a different country. Rich wants to move to China so he can pick up his Cantonese again. Yikes. Keep us updated!
