Santa's Workshop at the North Pole (take 2)

We discovered this strange and yet fantastic place last year. What we loved about it includes rides that are geared toward very young children, a Christmas theme which is definitely a little quirky but a hit with the girls, a 10 min magic show that, if anything else, gives Nate and I a good laugh, beautiful surroundings as it is located at the base of Pikes Peak, and a huge slide that twirls alongside a gigantic candy cane. Taylor remembers it fondly and has been asking to go back for months. With a Saturday free of plans and cooperating weather, we decided that it was time to make the yearly voyage to the North Pole. It was fantastic.
Kennedy imitating the tiger she got painted on her leg (It was supposed to be a face painting but she would having nothing to do with that!)
Taylor and her butterfly
Feeding the deer
On the Farris wheel. Kennedy liked it as long as it was moving. As you can see when it stopped she was a little nervous
Anything with a steering wheel was a huge hit
This was the first ride of the day. When Kennedy realized we were just leaving them there this was her reaction...classic.
Although when the ride started she forgot all about how sad she was. The candy cane slide

Golf Night

If anyone knew my father you know that he loved the game of golf. And that is definitely an understatement. This last week marked the two year anniversary of his passing. As a new tradition, I loaded the family up and we headed to the driving range to pay tribute. I can't think of a better way to put a smile on my Dad's face then for him to see his sweet grand babies trying to drive the ball. It was a good night and a great way to remember such a wonderful man.

Soccer

This is our first go with Taylor and sports. A friend of ours put together a little soccer league for 12 girls to learn basic soccer skills. Every Saturday morning we take Taylor to the park and she learns how to dribble the ball and to kick it in the goal. All the girls have a blast and if anything love being together. It has been a perfect start and introduction to soccer for Taylor.

D-D-D-DORA

This last month we were privileged to be able to see Dora and Diego at the mall. the girls have been only recently introduced to the pair and were so excited. Taylor was very shy and didn't say much, just sat there with a silly smile on her face. Kennedy wasn't so sure about getting too close but couldn't say bye enough times to Diego. Too cute.

"Graduation Day"

Taylor finished her first year of preschool this last month. Taylor's teacher, Miss Kim, had a party at the park for all her students and presented them with a diploma and graduation bear. It was very cute to see how excited the kids were to "graduate"! It was a great year and a good experience. Taylor loved her teacher so much and made many new friends.

Last minute camping trip

There's nothing like a last minute camping trip. We, along with our good friends the Bowens, decided one Friday afternoon that we would pack up and enjoy the great outdoors. After our first failed attempt at finding a camping spot with tired and hungry children we got desperate. Our options quickly came down to driving home and putting tents up in our yard, giving up, or just find anywhere with a fire pit and a place to pitch a tent. We opted for the last choice. Even though we could see the Home Depot from our campsite, hear the drag races going on from across the freeway, and had to call it a night at 9 p.m. when the rain started...we had a great time. The kids loved cooking hot dogs and smores on the fire and playing with the glow sticks provided by Spencer. It may not have been the ideal or picturesque scenery...but the company, as always, was top notch.

The view :)
